ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. It is suitable for health workers, teachers, community workers, Gardai, youth workers, volunteers and people responding to family, friends and co-workers who are having thoughts of suicide.

ASIST teaches people to become suicide first-aiders so that they know what to say and how to intervene when someone may be at risk of suicide.

Training courses can be delivered for teams for a fixed cost and agencies can offset their costs of hosting training by offering places on the training course to staff from other services.
