Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a particular way of having a conversation about change. MI helps people consider what it is that’s preventing them from making changes and it helps them to find how to overcome those things in a way that suits them best.

Training in MI can be designed to be delivered over a number of sessions so that workers will have the opportunity to practice the skills of the approach.

Training courses can be delivered for teams for a fixed cost and agencies can offset their costs of hosting training by offering places on the training course to staff from other services.
